Our brain does literally everything for us.

Your incredible brain is the reason you can read this blog. The brain is an organ that is constantly trying to keep you alive (yes, even when you are dozing off). A grain of sand's worth of brain tissue has 100,000 neurons and 1 billion synapses. Imagine the influence you have! the potential you can unlock and all the possibilities for your life. Get that degree, create sculptures, or even perfect your own "best chai" recipe.

But how do we unlock this potential? How do we ensure that we are taking care of your brain and giving it the rest it needs?

Here’s what you can do -

1. Quality Sleep

Most people struggle with getting enough sleep, particularly in metropolitan areas where the pressure to succeed at work is so strong. Your brain's efficiency can be forever altered by insomnia or poor sleeping habits. Nothing compares to the power of a restful night's sleep, it is said. You must get adequate sleep, ideally 7-8 hours each night as an adult, in order to function at your physical and mental best. For the best effects, Ayurveda advises going to bed at an appropriate time and rising before sunrise. A good night's sleep revitalizes and replenishes the mind, enhancing both short- and long-term mental fortitude.

Here’s Amrutam’s guide to a good night's sleep!

 Eating healthy

2. Eat Right

It’s no secret that eating junk and processed food ages your brain faster whereas choosing the right foods made with pure and natural ingredients helps to age-proof your brain. To function efficiently, your brain requires fuel that it gets from healthy foods. Your brain benefits from consuming walnuts, ghee, olive oil, fruits, vegetables, nuts, etc. It’s not just about ‘pure’ foods, you also have to ensure you eat fresh food over canned and processed foods. Eating junk and processed food can cause the accumulation of ama (toxins) and can affect your ability to recall (smriti).

3. Herbs For Life

Ayurvedic herbs that support dhi, dhriti, and smriti all work together to support learning and recollection. Some well-known ayurvedic herbs are known to support the health and operation of the mind, including Indian Pennywort or Centella Asiatica, popularly known as Gotu Kola, Shankhapushpi or Aloeweed, the genuine Brahmi or Herpestis monnieri, and Shankhapushpi or Aloeweed. Finding a way to incorporate this into your daily life can prove to be highly beneficial.

One way to do that is to try our Brainkey Gold Malt which is packed with the goodness of  Shankhpushpi, Brahmi, Jatamansi, and Ashwagandha.

4. Say Yes to Antioxidants

Antioxidants are man-made or natural substances that may prevent or delay some types of cell damage. Your brain relies on oxygen in order to function. For this reason, it's particularly susceptible to oxidative damage. Thus, including anti-oxidants becomes very important. Consuming foods like leeks, legumes, blueberries, goji berries, beans, etc can help you take care of your brain.

5. De-stress, De-stress & De-stress

We have to understand that the stress we go through in our life every day leaves our brain feeling rattled and out of control, if not dealt with properly. Stress, undoubtedly, will be a part of your life but de-stressing and being able to manage your stress makes all the difference in the world. Having an unwinding routine, practicing self-care appropriately, and managing your time are some ways you can deal with stress.

Take care of your brain starting today and let it take care of you!

Amrutam Face Clean Up Reviews

Currently on my second bottle and happy with how this product has kept acne & breakouts in check. It doesn't leave the skin too dry and also doubles as a face mask.

Juhi Bhatt

Amrutam face clean up works great on any skin type, it has helped me keep my skin inflammation in check, helps with acne and clear the open pores. Continuous usage has helped lighten the pigmentation and scars as well. I have recommended the face clean up to many people and they have all loved it!!

Sakshi Dobhal

This really changed the game of how to maintain skin soft supple and glowing! I’m using it since few weeks and see hell lot of difference in the skin I had before and now. I don’t need any makeup or foundation to cover my skin imperfections since now they are slowly fading away after I started using this! I would say this product doesn’t need any kind of review because it’s above par than expected. It’s a blind buy honestly . I’m looking forward to buy more products and repeat this regularly henceforth.
