Humble Beginnings, Bigger Motives: Amrutam Papa’s resolution to eradicate PCOD, PCOS

Read time : min

They say changemakers come from privileged places, places full of resources and stability, but it is just the opposite: changemakers rise from the ground; they stumble and fall but never stop. Everyone is a changemaker in their own right, but little did I know I would know one such changemaker in the small city of Gwalior, who created a revolution in women’s health yet chooses to live a humble life. Mr. Ashok Gupta, also fondly known as Amrutam Papa, was an ordinary man in his late 50s a few years ago but is a rock star in Ayurveda today.

Reason? An Ayurvedic formulation that became a light of hope for one of the most prevalent problems women are facing today, PCOD, PCOS, and irregular and painful periods, with over 70% of the cases remaining undiagnosed. This carefully and religiously curated formulation, which is now trusted by over 50,000 women, is Nari Sondarya Malt, as the name itself suggests a malt made to nourish the inner body.

Amrutam on Shark Tank India

The creation of Nari Sondarya Malt has been a personal one, and since the foundations of Amrutam, Mr. Ashok Gupta looked at PCOD and PCOS as problems whose cure is buried deep within the ayurvedic sciences, yet the world is hooked to allopathic medicines to cure the same. He took it upon himself to create something that would eventually eliminate the root cause of PCOD and PCOS from the body.

Amrutam Papa embarked on a journey, travelling across parts of India, meeting sages and ayurvedic experts, collecting medicinal herbs from difficult terrains, and reading the lost literature of ayurveda. Upon returning, he spent almost 3 years of his life working on the medicine, trying and failing at various stages, but determined to achieve his target. His wife, Mrs. Chandrakanta Gupta, became his support system during this time. Mr. Gupta was so enthusiastic about this product that he did not care for the weather conditions, working day in and night, unaware of skipping meals.

Finally, after a tedious journey, the first batch of Nari Sondarya Malt reached the hands of people, who not only loved it but embraced it as a life changer. Since then there has been no turning back; Nari Sondarya Malt is one of the proudest creations at Amrutam. Each jar of malt is packaged with utmost love in the hope that some women in some part of the country or world would benefit from the same.
