Nari Sondarya Malt, an Ayurvedic formulation designed to support women's health, is often consumed with either warm water or milk. While both options have their merits, Ayurvedic wisdom particularly emphasizes the benefits of milk, especially when considering gut health and the concept of Agni (digestive fire).

The Ayurvedic Concept of Anupana

Ayurveda has a distinctive approach to the administration of Ahara (food) and Aushada (medicine) along with different types of Anupana (vehicle or carrier) based on the Roga (disease), Kala (time), and Dosha (body constitution). This approach yields different therapeutic effects, making it crucial in clinical practice to consider the specific activity of medication with its anupana.

Anupana is generally a liquid material taken along with or after a meal or drug. Its benefits include:

  1. Enhancing palatability
  2. Transporting the drug to the target site
  3. Improving absorption and assimilation
  4. Conferring sustenance to the body

Historically, the Brihatrayi (three major classical Ayurvedic texts) emphasized anupana with respect to ahara (food). Later, in the period of Sharangadhara, more importance was given to anupana with aushadh (medicine).

The action of Anupana is beautifully described with a simile: just as a drop of oil spreads quickly when dropped in a vessel of water, similarly, when anupana is administered, it helps the medicine pervade quickly throughout the body.

Milk as an Ideal Anupana

Milk is revered in Ayurveda as a complete food and an excellent anupana for several reasons:

  1. Tonic Properties: The sweet taste of milk is considered tonic and helps build saptadhatus (seven tissues) and ojas (vital essence) according to the principle of samanapratyarabdhasidhanta.
  2. Vata Pacifying: With its grounding and nourishing properties, milk is particularly beneficial for Vata-dominant conditions.
  3. Sneha (Oleation) Therapy: In the Snehana Adhyaya, Acharya Charaka mentions milk preparations (Ksheera Paka, etc.) as Sneha Pravicharana. Sneha is considered the best therapeutic approach for vatic disorders.
  4. Pharmacological Activities: Milk promotes muscle growth, bone mass protection, thyroid function, and helps in the assimilation of bioactive materials. It also acts as a mild sedative.

The Importance of Anupana in Ayurvedic Medicine

The concept of Anupana is a unique and essential part of administering both Ahara and Aushadha in Ayurveda. The potency of the medicine is enhanced and brings about the desired effect when administered with a suitable anupana. When consumed with food, anupana increases digestion and absorption capacity, while at the end of a meal, it causes Brumhana (nourishment).

It's crucial to select the appropriate Anupana for different individuals and conditions to obtain maximum benefit. Milk, being a naturally nutrient-rich and affordable product with a high nutrient-to-energy ratio, is an excellent choice for many situations.

Maintaining Doshic Balance

Ideally, maintaining Doshic balance is managed throughout one's entire life. The primary objective of chikitsa (therapy) in Ayurveda is Dhatusamya (homeostasis), which is the most important component of preventive medicine. This balance can be achieved by:

  1. Observing Dinacharya (daily regimen)
  2. Following Ritucharya (seasonal regimen)
  3. Regular removal of aggravated Dosha according to Ritu (season) through Panchakarma

How to Consume Nari Sondarya Malt with Milk

To maximize the benefits of both Nari Sondarya Malt and milk while supporting Agni, follow these Ayurvedic guidelines:

  1. Use Warm Milk: Always use milk that's warm, not hot or cold. Warm milk is easier to digest and doesn't dampen the Agni.
  2. Best Time: Choose a time that aligns with your body's natural rhythms and digestive patterns.
  3. Preparation:
    • Warm milk to a comfortable temperature (avoid boiling).
    • Add the recommended amount of Nari Sondarya Malt to the warm milk.
    • Stir thoroughly to blend.
    • Optional: Add a pinch of digestive spices like cardamom or turmeric.
  4. Mindful Consumption: Drink the mixture slowly and mindfully. Ayurveda emphasizes the importance of a calm state of mind during consumption for optimal digestion.
  5. Frequency: For best results, consume regularly as advised by your Ayurvedic practitioner.

By following these guidelines and understanding the Ayurvedic principles behind Anupana, you can harness the full potential of Nari Sondarya Malt and milk, supporting your overall health and well-being in alignment with Ayurvedic wisdom.

This really changed the game of how to maintain skin soft supple and glowing! I’m using it since few weeks and see hell lot of difference in the skin I had before and now. I don’t need any makeup or foundation to cover my skin imperfections since now they are slowly fading away after I started using this! I would say this product doesn’t need any kind of review because it’s above par than expected. It’s a blind buy honestly . I’m looking forward to buy more products and repeat this regularly henceforth.
