  • Ayurveda originated in India, about 5000 years ago, from the ancient Vedic texts. It originated from ‘Atharva Veda and has evolved much over the years. Ayurveda [Ayur – Life; Veda – Knowledge] means ‘the Science of Life’.
  • ‘Charak Samhita’ is the bible of Ayurveda. It describes all the facts of diseases, diagnosis, treatments and the necessary medicines.

  • Ayurveda addresses all the aspects of life – body, mind and spirit. It says that perfect health is a balanced integration between our environment, body, mind and spirit.
  • Ayurveda has 8 different branches – Kaayachikitsa, Baalachikitsa, Bhuta vidya, Shalakya Tantra, Shalya Tantra, Vishagara Vairodh Tantra, Rasayana, Vajikarana.
  • Ayurveda believes in three types of energies or functional principles “Tridoshas” which is present in all human beings. They are called Vata (energy of movement), Pitta (energy of digestion and metabolism) and Kapha (energy of lubrication and structure).

  • According to Ayurvedic philosophy, these Vata, Pitta and Kapha are the combinations made up from the five basic elements of nature – Space, Air, Water, Fire & Earth. They are also known as Panchamahabhutas.
  • The Tridoshas are responsible for who you are. Vata [Wind] is composed of Space & Air. Pitta [Fire] is composed of Fire & Water. Kapha [Earth] is composed of Earth & Water. For each element, there is a balanced and imbalanced expression.

  • A living person is the potpourri of tridoshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha); the seven basic tissues (Rasa, Rakta, Mansa, Meda, Asthi, Majja,& Shukra) and the waste products of the body (Mala, Mutra & Sweda).
  • Ayurveda creates a personalized treatment plan based on a person’s body constitution (Prakriti). It helps in balancing or restoring the doshas and re-energizing our body.
  • Ayurveda has 8 factors of treatment known as ‘Ashtavidha Rogi Pareeksha’ – Naadi (pulse), Shabda (voice), Mala (stool), Mutra (urine), Sparsha (touch), Jivvha (tongue), Drik (vision), and Aakriti (body type). Pulse examination is the essence of Ayurvedic medicine.

  • One of the most effective and powerful tools of Ayurveda is ‘Panchakarma’. Panchakarma is an ancient practice that uses five methodologies to cleanse and eliminate the toxins from the body.
  • Ayurveda includes rules of healthy living and maintaining good health; unlike Western medicine that simply focuses on disease and its treatment.
  • Ayurveda gives you compassionate, personalized health care with 100 % natural medicines along with the complementary practice of yoga. Ayurveda is today the answer to all chronic diseases.

  • In recent times, Ayurveda has gained a lot of popularity all over the world due to its holistic approach towards wellness of life and spirituality. Ayurvedic practices are usually accompanied by yoga and meditation.
  • Ayurveda consists of a vast collection of herbs with extraordinary healing power. Incorporating these herbs in our daily life will certainly yield beneficial effects on our body.

Currently on my second bottle and happy with how this product has kept acne & breakouts in check. It doesn't leave the skin too dry and also doubles as a face mask.

Amrutam face clean up works great on any skin type, it has helped me keep my skin inflammation in check, helps with acne and clear the open pores. Continuous usage has helped lighten the pigmentation and scars as well. I have recommended the face clean up to many people and they have all loved it!!

This really changed the game of how to maintain skin soft supple and glowing! I’m using it since few weeks and see hell lot of difference in the skin I had before and now. I don’t need any makeup or foundation to cover my skin imperfections since now they are slowly fading away after I started using this! I would say this product doesn’t need any kind of review because it’s above par than expected. It’s a blind buy honestly . I’m looking forward to buy more products and repeat this regularly henceforth.
