Although trying to stay healthy is a conscious process, sometimes we end up in situations that are not really in our control. Catching a cold or developing some internal debility are situations where staying in good health can only do so much for you. It is possible to reduce the risk of developing, say, Alzheimer’s by following a healthy lifestyle filled with balanced diets and regular exercise. But there is always the possibility of coming down with an unavoidable health concern. Fortunately for us, this is just another aspect of health that Ayurveda is very good at dealing with.

Ayurvedic teachings and recipes are primarily focused on disease prevention. This is in stark contrast to western medicines which are aimed at curing the disease after contracting them. Various Ayurvedic formulations are available that can help you deal with a wide range of health concerns. Our latest creation, the Nari Sondarya Capsule is a woman’s best friend when it comes to menstrual and overall health.

Nari Sondarya Capsule and Its Star Ingredients

We created the Amrutam Nari Sondarya Capsule as a one-stop solution to most female reproductive health concerns. Additionally, the capsules also help in keeping your skin healthy and glowing. Regularly using the Nari Sondarya Capsules helps in dealing with conditions like PCOS, menstrual cramps and pain, irregular periods, hormonal imbalances, etc. This wide range of activity can be attributed to the potent herbs, spices and Ayurvedic ingredients used in the making of the capsule. Arjun, Lodhra, Ashoka and Shatavari are some of the herbs that stand out from the ingredient list.

(Hey there! You can follow the links for each of the ingredients mentioned above to read and learn more about them.)

Arjun

Nature has loaded the bark of the Arjun tree with various antioxidants and organic compounds. The antioxidants help in protecting the external layer of the skin and also reverses the damage caused by free radicals. Due to its cooling nature, it pacifies both Kapha and Pitta dosha. This further helps the skin by preventing acne and darkening. Furthermore, Ayurvedic texts state that the Sita (cold) and Kashaya (astringent) properties of the Arjun bark aids in preventing Raktapradar (excessive menstrual bleeding) in women. An aggravated Pitta state causes Menorrhagia, heavy periods with abnormal or prolonged bleeding. And as mentioned above, Arjun is able to pacify and prevent it.

Lodhra

Although the Lodhra stem has the most common application, one can use all parts of the plant in various Ayurvedic recipes. As far as medical activity goes, Lodhra is only second to Shatavri in matters of menstrual and hormonal issues. Extracts of the plant are able to control the hormonal levels in the female body. This consequently helps in managing PCOS. Various studies also indicate that the plant is helpful in managing conditions like leucorrhea and excessive menstrual bleeding. The antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and unique blood thickening effects of the plant are key factors for this. Similar to Arjun, Lodhra also has a Kapha and Pitta pacifying nature. This aids in preventing and managing several skin-related issues.

Ashoka

The Ashoka tree contains various essential oils and nutrients that make it a very effective uterine tonic. From the orange-yellow flowers of the tree to its bark and leaves, one can use all parts of the tree in various Ayurvedic recipes. Ayurvedic experts have used Ashoka for ages now to treat various female disorders like dysmenorrhea and menorrhagia. The Ropan (healing) nature of the herb aids in quicker wound healing as well as reducing the intensity and duration of stomach pains and cramps. In addition to its use as a uterine tonic, practitioners of Ayurveda use Ashoka extracts to purify the blood. This in turn helps in prevents a number of skin disorders and ailments.

Shatavari

Very few herbs top Shatavari in usage for matters associated with female reproductive health. Ayurvedic texts primarily describe it as a Rasayana and it has major stress-busting effects. The Vata and Pitta balancing nature of the herb help in dealing with PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome). Shatavari helps in preventing Raktapradar and also helps restore hormonal balance to the female body due to its Rasayanic nature. Shatavari extracts are useful for breastfeeding mothers as it helps in improving the supply of breast milk due to its Stanyajanana nature.

Simple Ways to improve your Menstrual Health

To stay healthy, a certain amount of dedication and consistency is necessary. Practicing mindful eating and maintaining a regular schedule are some ways to help in the process of improving your menstrual health. You can find some more ways to do the same listed below

  1. It is important to understand that throughout your menstrual cycle, specific doshas dominate specific parts of the cycle. As such it is essential to maintain a good doshic balance. Engaging in regular physical activities like yoga and sticking to a productive daily schedule are some simple ways of doing so. Please note that physical exertion should be kept to a minimum during your periods.
  2. Ayurvedic texts advise eating lighter meals during your periods. We suggest eating easily digestable foods as they don’t place much stress on the digestive system. Additionally, eating meals on fixed times allows your body to cope better with the situation and keeps your hormonal levels in check.
  1. Get adequate and regular rest during your periods (and otherwise!). Rest allows your body to heal and revitalizes your inner agni and strength.
  2. Use specific Ayurvedic herbs based on the problem you are facing. Alternatively, you could use the Nari Sonadarya Capsule which aids in both recovery from and prevention of most menstrual issues.

How to Use the Nari Sondarya Capsule?

For best results, take 1 or 2 Nari Sondarya Capsules every day with water. After about four to six months of consistent usage, you are bound to see an improvement in terms of menstrual and skin health. If you want to take things to the net level though, we suggest that you also use the Nari Sondarya Malt and the Nari Sondarya Oil. We created the Nari Sondarya Range to help women deal with a wide range of health issues and is best when used with each other.

Currently on my second bottle and happy with how this product has kept acne & breakouts in check. It doesn't leave the skin too dry and also doubles as a face mask.

Juhi Bhatt

Amrutam face clean up works great on any skin type, it has helped me keep my skin inflammation in check, helps with acne and clear the open pores. Continuous usage has helped lighten the pigmentation and scars as well. I have recommended the face clean up to many people and they have all loved it!!

Sakshi Dobhal

This really changed the game of how to maintain skin soft supple and glowing! I’m using it since few weeks and see hell lot of difference in the skin I had before and now. I don’t need any makeup or foundation to cover my skin imperfections since now they are slowly fading away after I started using this! I would say this product doesn’t need any kind of review because it’s above par than expected. It’s a blind buy honestly . I’m looking forward to buy more products and repeat this regularly henceforth.
