Gulkand Stuffed Dates

Make these easy Gulkand Stuffed Dates with almonds, pistachios, and cardamom. A naturally sweet, no-cook treat with a delicious rose flavour.

Soft, naturally sweet dates filled with fragrant Gulkand, nuts, and cardamom. A simple no-cook Indian sweet with an Ayurvedic touch.

Dates and Gulkand make an unexpectedly delicious pairing. The natural caramel-like sweetness of dates balances the floral, slightly tangy flavour of Gulkand, while nuts add a satisfying crunch.

Ingredients

▪️ 10–12 soft Medjool dates work best
▪️ 3 tbsp Amrutam Gulkand
▪️ 2 tbsp finely chopped almonds
▪️ 1 tbsp chopped pistachios
▪️ ¼ tsp cardamom powder
▪️ 1 tbsp desiccated coconut, optional
▪️ Dried rose petals, for garnish

Method

Step 1: Prepare the Dates

Make a lengthwise slit in each date and carefully remove the seed without splitting the date completely.

Step 2: Make the Filling

Mix Gulkand with chopped almonds, pistachios, cardamom, and coconut.

Step 3: Stuff the Dates

Fill each date with a small spoonful of the Gulkand mixture. Gently press the sides together.

Step 4: Garnish & Serve

Top with crushed pistachios or dried rose petals. Serve immediately or chill for 15–20 minutes.

▪️ You can coat the stuffed dates with melted dark chocolate for a richer, indulgent treat.
