Diwali is the season of lights, love, and of course… sweets! But what if you could enjoy festive treats without the guilt? Try these Dry Fruit Gulkand Chocolate – a perfect balance of sweet, nutty, and floral.

Think of it as Ayurvedic magic wrapped in chocolate: the cooling sweetness of gulkand, the energy of dates, and the crunch of dry fruits and makhana – all embraced by the richness of dark chocolate.

Ingredients

▪️½ cup almonds

▪️½ cup cashews

▪️¼ cup raisins

▪️½ cup foxnuts (makhana)

▪️8 -10 dates

▪️2 tbsp Amrutam gulkand

▪️100g dark chocolate (for coating)

Method

1. Dry roast almonds, cashews, and makhana in a pan on low-medium heat until golden and fragrant. This brings out the nutty flavor and makes them easier to grind.

2. Grind the roasted dry fruits and makhana. Add in chopped dates, raisins, and gulkand. Mix everything together until evenly combined.

3. Press this mixture into a mold of choice. Compact gently and refrigerate for 30 - 45 minutes so it sets.

4. Melt the dark chocolate. Once the set mixture is firm and coat each piece with melted chocolate. Place back in the fridge for another 30 minutes to harden.

5. Your Dry Fruit Gulkand Chocolates are ready! Keep refrigerated and enjoy as a wholesome, decadent snack.

Ayurvedic Benefits

  • ▪️Dates & raisins – natural sweetness and energy, rich in iron.

  • ▪️Dry fruits & makhana – protein, crunch, and satisfying.

  • ▪️Dark chocolate – mood-boosting antioxidants.
