World Nature Conservation Day is observed all over the world on July 28 of every year. It is observed to create awareness about protecting and conserving natural resources. There are so many threats to nature like deforestation, illegal wildlife trade, pollution, chemicals, and a lot more.
Last few weeks, we have witnessed a lot of extreme climate change activities, Serbia witnessed record heatwaves and also, in Canada, which is known as a very cold place - experienced a 49.5°C temperature and a lot of people had to sleep in cars with ACs on and on roads sprinklers had to be turned on to normalize the temperature.
According to the science community, these extreme weather events can be attributed to climate change and the degrading state of the environment. It's high time now that we take an action and keeping the same in mind, at Amrutam, we have pledged to plant 1000 trees in the month of July & August.
