Ayurveda teaches that we live most optimally by observing cycles in nature and utilizing practices that align ourselves with them. What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear the word “Ayurveda”? Jadi-Booti (Herbs) and sour tasting syrups? Well, it is not entirely about that. Ayurveda is a lifestyle. A life that keeps you in equilibrium with nature. Ayurveda doesn't make you immortal but surely helps you age gracefully. We, at Amrutam, believe that Ayurveda is the Elixir of life and practicing it makes you a healthier person in comparison to the other millions present out there. Like the Darwinian Evolutionary Theory states, “The Survival of the fittest” and we assure you that Ayurveda is one strong weapon in this journey called “Life”. Dincharya, if literally translated, means Routines. We are here to talk about 10 daily Ayurveda suggested habits called “Dincharya” that will do justice to your temple like body and mind.

#1 Wake up early

Body benefits ten-folds if you synchronize it with nature. If you wake up early, your body will be more in tune with the Earth’s circadian rhythms. “Early risers are more proactive”, says Harvard biologists. According to Ayurveda, as soon you wake up, you must rub your hands together and place your palms upon your eyes. That's because there is a heavy concentration of nerve endings in your hands. So when you rub your palms together, these nerve endings get activated and the system awakens right away.

#2 Start your day by drinking water

Start your day with drinking a glass of water of room temperature. Prefer to keep it a night before in a pure copper flask. This helps cleanse the kidneys. It is suggested, not to begin your day with a cup of tea or coffee as it is habit forming, causes constipation and stresses the adrenals. Throughout the day, you should make sure that you consume 7-8 glasses of water preferably of room temperature. This will rinse toxins from your body, make your stomach clear and skin clearer.

#3 Tongue cleaning

A clean tongue is the first step to the stronger immune system. Overnight, toxins are deposited onto the surface of the tongue and can be reabsorbed in the system if not scrapped. This may lead to respiratory difficulties, digestive problems and a compromised immune system. Therefore, cleaning of the tongue is as essential as brushing teeth daily.

#4 Oil Massage

There is nothing more relaxing than a warm oil full body massage. Isn’t it? Accumulated stress and toxins in the mind and body dissolve during the daily massage. The process is a powerful recharger and rejuvenator. It increases blood circulation, tones muscles, increases stamina throughout the day and helps you sleep better at night.

#5 Meditation

Each day, pick a 15 min slot where you spend time only with yourself. Looking deep inside your own self and blocking the outside. Pick a corner in the house which is away from external noises. Meditate the way suitable for you, followed by few breathing pranayamas. This not only eases out the body but also brings balance and peace in life. Meditation helps you make better decisions, builds strong memory and mind.

#6 Eat Wisely

Have a rich breakfast, full meal lunch, and light dinner. Eat at regular intervals, avoid skipping meals or binge eating. According to Ayurveda, there are six tastes. – Sweet, sour, salt, pungent, bitter and astringent. Ideally, a balanced diet should have all the tastes, to make it a complete and balanced diet. Make sure that you don’t sleep right after the meal at night.

#7 Exercise

A healthy mind is in a healthy body. Pick a 30 minutes slot and an exercise that fits best for you. You can choose among wide options of intense body workout from walking/running, swimming, dancing, yoga etc. Exercise makes you feel better, confident and increases life expectancy. It reduces the risk of chronic diseases. Make sure you respect your limits. Too much exercise can also harm your body.

#9 Pick a hobby

Life in the 21st Century comes with a baggage of stress, health cons, and mental sickness. Picking a hobby and some "Me time" can be an easy cure to all of this. Cook new dishes, read a book, pick those colors and paint the canvas or learn an instrument. Go to the dance class with your daughter, cycle with your son. Learn knitting from your grandmom or garden some vegetables with granddad. & shopping doesn’t count as a hobby, No!

#10 Early to bed

Sleep plays an important role in your physical health. Sleeping is the only time when your body repairs from all the tears of the day. Therefore a good quality 7 hour of sleep is recommended. Prefer reading a book before going to bed and dream a little.

Amrutam Face Clean Up Reviews

Currently on my second bottle and happy with how this product has kept acne & breakouts in check. It doesn't leave the skin too dry and also doubles as a face mask.

Amrutam face clean up works great on any skin type, it has helped me keep my skin inflammation in check, helps with acne and clear the open pores. Continuous usage has helped lighten the pigmentation and scars as well. I have recommended the face clean up to many people and they have all loved it!!

Sakshi Dobhal

This really changed the game of how to maintain skin soft supple and glowing! I’m using it since few weeks and see hell lot of difference in the skin I had before and now. I don’t need any makeup or foundation to cover my skin imperfections since now they are slowly fading away after I started using this! I would say this product doesn’t need any kind of review because it’s above par than expected. It’s a blind buy honestly . I’m looking forward to buy more products and repeat this regularly henceforth.
