Anu and her husband run a hospital- Medstar in New Delhi. Experts at Medstar believe that there is no single treatment method and the treatment for every individual differs. HOW DID YOU COME TO KNOW ABOUT THE SCHOOL OF AYURVEDA?
Anu is a fashion designer by profession and after a short career in the fashion industry she decided to join Dr. Kaley. After deciding to join Dr. Kaley, she got a certificate in dietetics and started following ayurveda and alternative healing to provide a holistic approach to the good work being done by Dr.Kaley in his field (orthopedics).
Anu believes that a combination of the old and new has to be put together. As a lot of medication, often have its side effects which outreach the healing effects of the medicines.
WHAT IS YOUR IDEA OF AYURVEDA?
Anu believes that
“Ayurveda and modern medicine are meant to be together”
There are a lot of myths which exist around natural healing and ayurveda. It is only through a holistic approach of combining modern medicine and ancient schools of healing that treatment is possible. Anu and Dr. Kaley, at Medstar have been working to bring this mix of the ancient and modern healing techniques together. Medstar believes that for not all kind of joint pain or other pain that a surgery is required.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE HEALTHY HABITS?
A friend once was contemplating about how beautiful water is as a substance on earth. Apart from the poetic beauty of water, its health benefits are equally wonderful.
Anu`s favorite healthy habits are drinking plenty of water and going for a walk.
“My favorite healthy habits are Drink plenty of water and take a walk whenever I can."
Benefits of walking are plenty. It can help you reduce stress and gather your thoughts. Also, drinking sufficient amount of water every day is very important for your body. Water helps in increasing our energy levels, flushing out the toxins and it also boosts our immune system.

HOW DID YOUR JOURNEY WITH AYURVEDA BEGIN?
“Ayurveda is something the women in the family have practiced forever. However, formally I got familiar with Holistic Ayurveda after undergoing weight loss, inch loss and detoxing at Tibia College in Delhi after my first delivery.”
Fun fact: Do you about the difference between weight loss and inch loss?
Losing weight does not necessarily imply that you will start looking thin. Losing inches imply losing the weight around the target areas (waist, hip, chest etc) while weight loss could be just simple losing of weight with no inches being lost in the body areas where you desire a loss of weight.
HOW DO YOU THINK AWARENESS REGARDING AYURVEDA CAN BE INCREASED?
Anu believes that Ayurveda is already famous; it has been famous for centuries.
However, the craze regarding Ayurveda has not yet been developed in India because of the way it has been presented as an old-school thing.
She says - “Ayurveda needs an innovative dream launch pad. It’s already famous.”

Anu finds it commendable, the way Amrutam has been running its blog and the Instagram designs and that is how she got to know about Amrutam.
