There was a time when Sanketika dreaded looking at the calendar. Not because her period was late. But because it came too soon. Sometimes every 15 to 20 days. Painfully heavy and so exhausting that it left her weak, drained, and wondering if this was simply what her body had become.

At just 25, while balancing the demanding life of a dental student and preparing for MDS, Sanketika had quietly accepted something many women do: living around discomfort. But things weren’t always this way.

It Started With Spotting

Sanketika, who recently completed her BDS and lives in Odisha, remembers her cycle being relatively normal before things changed.

Back in 2019, she began experiencing spotting between periods. Concerned, she visited a doctor and was prescribed hormonal pills (OCPs). At the time, she didn’t think much of it.

“I didn’t really know much then. I just took what was prescribed.”

She took medication for around four months. But after she stopped, things began to feel different. Her periods became unpredictable. Sometimes they arrived in just 20 days. Sometimes after 15. Sometimes after a month. And when they came, they came intensely. Heavy bleeding. Painful cramps. Extreme weakness.

“It was horrible for me. Every time my period came, I became so weak.”

The frequent bleeding eventually affected her energy levels too. She describes becoming anaemic during that phase and remembers feeling constantly lethargic.

An Instagram Ad She Almost Scrolled Past

Like many of us, healing didn’t arrive dramatically. It appeared in the middle of scrolling. One day, Sanketika came across an Instagram ad for Nari Sondarya Malt.

Interestingly, she admits she was comparing options.

“To be very honest, I had two choices. Another women’s wellness product kept showing up too.”

She researched. Watched YouTube reviews. Compared experiences. And eventually chose Amrutam because it felt more aligned with Ayurveda.

“Because it was Ayurvedic, I went for this one.”

She started cautiously, unsure what to expect.

The First Sign Something Was Changing

Sometimes healing doesn’t arrive loudly. Sometimes it whispers. For Sanketika, the first sign was surprisingly simple. Her period didn’t come on the 20th day. Instead, it came around the 25th or 26th day. For the first time in a long time, that felt like progress.

“I felt like maybe it’s because of this… maybe it’s working.”

She noticed something else too. The cramps weren’t as intense. The flow felt more normal. And slowly, month after month, things began settling.

Today, Sanketika shares that her cycle generally falls between 28 to 32 days, and her period usually lasts around five days. For someone whose body once felt unpredictable, that consistency felt deeply meaningful.

More Than Just Periods

Over time, Sanketika noticed other personal changes too. She felt more energetic. The body pain she once experienced reduced. The constant weakness she associated with frequent bleeding slowly eased.

“I feel high on energy now.”

Unexpectedly, she also experienced weight loss of around 5–6 kilos, despite not actively trying. And that surprised her. During her internship, life was hectic. Long hours, hostel living, no structured diet, and barely any time to exercise.

“I would leave at 9 in the morning and return by 7 in the evening. There was no time for workouts.”

For Sanketika, this felt like one of several positive shifts she personally experienced alongside feeling more balanced overall.

From Doubt to Trust at Home

One of the most touching parts of Sanketika’s story isn’t about her. It’s about her family.

When she first wanted to order Nari Sondarya Malt, her father was skeptical.

“Papa said, ‘It’s expensive… what if it doesn’t work?’”

But her mother, who had seen what Sanketika was going through, encouraged her to try. Then things slowly changed. As Sanketika began feeling better, the skepticism faded. Today?

“Papa orders it himself now.”

Not just for her. The family began exploring other Amrutam products too, from joint care for her mother to liver support products. And somewhere along the way, what started as one purchase became trust.

Not a Quick Fix - A Lifestyle Ritual

What stood out most in Sanketika’s story was how she talks about consistency. She doesn’t see Ayurveda as something to take for a few days and stop. Instead, she compares it to how many households take Chyawanprash regularly, as part of care, not crisis.

“It has become part of my lifestyle.”

There was even a brief six-day gap once, during a stressful house move and exam season. She noticed changes in her flow and cycle during that time too, which reinforced for her why staying consistent mattered.

Today, amidst exam preparation, long days, and adult responsibilities, her morning routine remains simple. A spoon of Nari Sondarya Malt with lukewarm water. Not because someone told her to.

But because, in her own words:

“It worked for me.”
